Dears:
As most of you (hopefully) know, we are anticipating a few residencies this coming Fall. While we don’t have plans to be everywhere until 2011, we have dreamed up an idea to keep you all involved: wherever you are, we’re including you in this event.
The Dears would like to produce a commemorative poster for our upcoming residencies that will be given away in exchange for donations to War Child (TO, NYC) and the Montreal City Mission (MTL). Simply put, we want YOU to design it. Send us whatever is up there, lurking around in your brain; we want to see it. Know that your efforts will be helping out others. It’s not such a challenge. Share your submission here.
In other news, we are still at work on many elements surrounded our upcoming album project. The talk around the office is that we are going to drop in early 2011. Not to worry, however, as between now and then, we will be posting loads of bits and bobs on our website, perhaps even whole tracks and of course short films. You can keep track of everything we share by either:
- “Bookmark-ing” our website or subscribing to our RSS feed. We personally look after this place and are here all the time.
- “Following” us on Twitter. Our policy is that we have a rotating “Top 40” of people we follow. Be one.
- “Liking” or becoming a “Fan” on Facebook. We read all comments. All of them.
- “Friend-ing” us on myspace. We rotate the tunes ourselves based on mood.
We encourage participation in all of these.
Again, infinite, eternal thanks for all your love and support, for the little notes and stuff. We see it and feel it all. It’s what keeps the raging fire going. Without you we are nothing and we actually mean that.
